The Grand Opening of the Taiwan Life Education Image Hall
Life education is part of the long-term strategic plan of the Nanhua University. A systematic approach has been used to promote life education courses and integrate life education into the curricula as well as the University’s counseling services. The University strives to create a campus experience based on life education that has a transformative impact on all members of the University. The ‘Taiwan Life Education Image Hall’, which was opened on March 18, 2022, was established to integrate life education into all aspects of campus life. The ‘Taiwan Life Education Image Hall’ used “Tree” as a concept for seed, germination, vegetative growth, blossoming, fruiting, and death as a representation of the circle of life. The Image Hall was designed to include: the philosophy of life education, the main theme, interdisciplinary collaboration, technology application, a guided tour, cultural innovation and art, and design engineering. The exhibition area is divided into the following six categories: Luster of Life, Growth and Transformation, Mindfulness Meditation, The Three Acts of Goodness, Natural Healing, and Death and Dignity. Each category is designed for visitors to have an immersive interactive experience, which also includes using virtual reality (VR) to experience your own funeral. By experiencing the journey of life, old-age, sickness, and death, one is able to reflect upon the meaning and value of life. The Image Hall also provides the opportunity for visitors to connect with our life education partners in Taiwan and abroad to share experiences and resources.
